What treatment does the donor receive?

Only one of the many eggs that start to develop each month will reach maturity under normal circumstances. For this reason, with the aim of guaranteeing the efficiency of the donation, the donor receives treatment to try to make all the eggs that start their development reach maturity. Unfortunately, not all the eggs obtained will be of use for the donation, some do not develop normally and do not reach maturity, while others will not be fertilized for reasons we still do not know.

Your treatment is carried out via a series of ultrasounds and hormonal analyses. Later, just before the moment of ovulation, the eggs are obtained directly from the ovaries by punction and aspiration using an ultrasound scan.
