2- First formal appointment
It is recommended that the donor does not have an appointment during her menstruation because she will have to have a complete gynaecological check up which includes tests, a smear test (PAP), a transvaginal ultrasound scan examination and blood tests (serology). It is during this appointment that the doctor gives the donor a full explanation about the process of giving eggs and in order to make this clear he will use a complete document in PowerPoint.
